It’s an exciting body contouring solution that’s safe and effective.
What Is EMSculpt?
EMSculpt is a body contouring system that reshapes the body by strengthening the muscles and burning fat. The system has FDA approval and is a widely used and effective alternative to invasive surgical procedures.
The EMSculpt machine connects directly to the patient’s skin and uses electromagnetic energy to create muscular contractions. The strength of electromagnetic pulses has frequently been compared to that of an MRI. This process helps to strengthen the muscle fibers while burning fat, resulting in an overall increase in muscle mass. Electromagnetic pulses also help to improve blood circulation, which can further enhance the body’s ability to build muscle.
The machine can produce several thousand supramaximal muscle contractions during a single treatment. Therefore, it can produce fantastic results that clients otherwise would have difficulty achieving through fitness programs alone.
Which Areas of the Body Can EMSculpt Treat?
EMSculpt can work on a variety of muscle groups. Clients most commonly choose to get EMSculpt treatments on their abdomen and buttocks. However, the treatment can also work well in areas such as the calves, biceps, legs, inner and outer thighs, and other areas. The plastic surgeon will review the different options with prospective patients during the initial consultation.
How to Prepare for EMSculpt
The best part about getting EMSculpt in Philadelphia and New Jersey is that there are no special pre-procedure instructions. Patients need to do no more than they would before a vigorous workout. The most important way to prepare for the treatment is to get into a mindset geared toward success.

Good Candidates for EMSculpt
Almost anyone can be a great candidate for EMSculpt treatments at our offices. People who want to make body enhancements and individuals who want to live a healthy lifestyle are the best candidates. Those who suffer from conditions such as diastasis recti are also good candidates for the procedure.
Individuals who have trouble losing weight or toning their bodies are welcome to try EMSculpt. This body treatment is an ideal solution for tightening loose skin and achieving the ideal weight. Additionally, those who prefer a non-invasive form of body contouring might find EMSculpt to be the perfect solution.
The only people who may not be good candidates for the procedure are individuals with metal devices inside their bodies. Anyone with a pacemaker, plates, rods, or screws installed should avoid EMSculpt because of its electromagnetic technology and look for another body contouring treatment. Pregnant women and women who have IUD devices should also avoid EMSculpt.
The EMSculpt Procedure
The EMSculpt procedure is designed to target abdominal muscles and help patients achieve muscle definition and fat reduction. During the treatment, the specialist will use the EMSculpt paddles directly over the muscle group the patient wishes to treat and secures them with wraps and bands.
If it concerns the abdomen, EMSculpt paddles deliver thousands of strong muscle contractions directly to the abdominal muscles. This helps tone and strengthen the muscles while also reducing fat in the area. The result is a more toned and defined abdominal area with improved muscle definition.
The EMSculpt procedure takes about 30 minutes and is performed in a relaxed setting. The client relaxes while the machine works to tone the muscles. They can choose to take a nap, watch a movie on their smartphone, or listen to music during the session.
EMSculpt Aftercare
The EMSculpt treatment is so non-invasive that it requires no aftercare whatsoever. Clients don’t have to miss any important activities or rearrange their schedules. There are no bandages to change or medications to take.
The ease of preparing for the procedure and the non-existent recovery time are two of the most common reasons this procedure is so popular with our patients in Philadelphia, Voorhees, Yardley, and Princeton. Patients can get back to their normal activities without any disruption. They can expect muscle soreness after the procedure, similar to an intense workout.
To maintain the results of EMSculpt and to keep a toned body, it is essential to follow a healthy diet and regular exercise. Eating nutritious foods and having an exercise routine will help to ensure that the body stays in shape and that the results of EMSculpt are long-lasting.
The EMSculpt Consultation
The consultation is the first meeting a new patient will have with their EMSculpt provider at Becker Plastics. The session will begin with a discussion of the patient’s goals. Next, the surgeon will ask questions about their health history, lifestyle, and budget. Finally, the provider will suggest a treatment plan tailored to meet the patient’s needs. The EMSculpt treatment can begin quickly in our office if the individual wants to start right away.
