What Is EMSculpt?

EMSculpt is a body contouring system that reshapes the body by strengthening the muscles and burning fat. The system has FDA approval and is a widely used and effective alternative to invasive surgical procedures.

The EMSculpt machine connects directly to the patient’s skin and uses electromagnetic pulses to create muscular contractions. The strength of the electromagnetic pulses has frequently been compared to that of an MRI.

The machine can produce several thousand muscle contractions during a single treatment. Therefore, it can produce fantastic results that clients otherwise would have difficulty achieving through fitness programs alone.

How Botox Treatment Works

Botox isn’t right for everyone. If you currently have a skin infection, any muscle or nerve disorders, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have any challenges in breathing or swallowing, you likely are not a good candidate for Botox. While our Botox providers are highly skilled, if it doesn’t appear that you can safely tolerate the therapy, it can’t be given.

Once you’ve passed that hurdle, Botox treatments at our Philadelphia and New Jersey offices are actually quite quick. Because the idea of someone using a needle near your eyes can be disturbing for many, you may be encouraged to close your eyes during the session. There are also many practitioners who use a vibrating or chattering tool to make the whole process less stressful.

The Benefits of EMSculpt

EMSculpt treatments at Becker Plastics offer many benefits for patients in the Princeton, Yardley, Voorhees, and Philadelphia areas.

One benefit is that the treatment is not invasive at all. Clients can choose it over more invasive options such as the Brazilian butt lift and tummy tuck and sometimes receive similar results. Second, patients will not have to miss work or spend a long time recovering from the procedure. Finally, the effects of EMSculpt will often boost a person’s self-esteem and confidence.

Which Areas of the Body Can EMSculpt Treat?

EMSculpt can work on a variety of muscle groups. Clients most commonly choose to get EMSculpt treatments on their abdomen and buttocks. However, the treatment can also work well in areas such as the calves, biceps, legs, and other areas. The surgeon will go over the different options with prospective patients during the initial consultation.

How to Prepare for EMSculpt

The best part about getting EMSculpt in Philadelphia and New Jersey is that there are no special pre-procedure instructions. Patients need to do no more than they would before a vigorous workout. The most important way to prepare for the treatment is to get into a mindset geared toward success.

Patient Reviews

Brooke is literally AMAZING!!! Lemme put you on to THE aesthetician of Philly who (I’m not even just gassing) is quite literally the coolest person you’ll ever meet She talked me through the entire lip-filler process (cause I’m neurotic) & how there’s a difference between sticking filler in your lips vs. the creative beauty behind accentuating what’s already there with your natural features! She taught me about my natural Cupid’s bow and key hole (i learned what those are and that I even had them😂) And when I say this plump took 10 minutes MAX… 😍 she is a godsend. Very smart, very careful, very creative and VERY good at what she does!

Good Candidates for EMSculpt

Almost anyone can be a great candidate for EMSculpt treatments at our offices. People who want to make body enhancements and individuals who want to live a healthy lifestyle are the best candidates. Those who suffer from conditions such as diastasis recti are also good candidates for the procedure.

Individuals who have trouble losing weight or toning their bodies are welcome to try EMSculpt. Additionally, those who prefer a non-invasive form of body contouring might find EMSculpt to be the perfect solution.

The only people who may not be good candidates for the procedure are individuals who have metal devices inside their bodies. Anyone with a pacemaker, plates, rods, or screws installed should avoid EMSculpt because of its electromagnetic technology. Pregnant women and women who have IUD devices should also avoid EMSculpt.

The EMSculpt Procedure

The EMSculpt procedure takes about 30 minutes and is performed in a relaxed setting. The specialist places the EMSculpt paddles directly over the muscle group the patient wishes to treat and secures them with wraps and bands. The client relaxes while the machine works to tone the muscles. They can choose to take a nap, watch a movie on their smartphone, or listen to music during the session.

EMSculpt Aftercare

The EMSculpt treatment is so non-invasive that it requires no aftercare whatsoever. Clients don’t have to miss any important activities or rearrange their schedules. There are no bandages to change or medications to take.

The ease of preparing for the procedure and the non-existent recovery time are two of the most common reasons this procedure is so popular with our patients in Philadelphia, Voorhees, Yardley, and Princeton. Patients can expect some muscle soreness after the procedure, similar to that of an intense workout.

The EMSculpt Consultation

The consultation is the first meeting a new patient will have with their EMSculpt provider at Becker Plastics. The session will begin with a discussion of the patient’s goals. Next, the surgeon will ask questions about their health history, lifestyle, and budget. Finally, the provider will suggest a treatment plan tailored to meet the patient’s needs. The EMSculpt treatment can begin quickly in our office if the individual wants to start right away.

EMSculpt FAQs

Does EMSculpt cause pain?

The EMSculpt procedure is one of the least painful cosmetic procedures one can get. However, patients may experience a small amount of discomfort during the treatment. The discomfort may feel like slight pulling or pulsing on the muscles the device contacts.

There may also be a little bit of soreness afterward. The soreness would be similar to what a person experiences after an intense workout. None of the resulting discomfort should interfere with anyone’s daily activities, however.

How many EMSculpt treatments will I need?

The initial treatment will consist of four 30-minute sessions. EMSculpt results usually last for three to four months. Thus, an individual may need to have maintenance treatments several times each year to maintain long-lasting results.

When will I see results?

A patient is likely to see results in the first few weeks after treatment. We recommend that new patients continue their treatment for at least four weeks to receive optimal results.

Are there any side effects of EMSculpt treatments?

EMSculpt is associated with almost no side effects. The few side effects that do exist usually involve a certain level of muscle soreness after the procedure.

Some clients also report feeling hungry afterward. The hunger comes from the activities the muscles engage in during the treatment session. The side effects will most likely be similar to what one would have after a long workout.

How Much Does EMSculpt Cost?

The price of EMSculpt treatment in Philadelphia and New Jersey may vary from one provider to another. It also may differ in two different locations.

The best way to get a price quote is by scheduling a consultation with the practitioner. A quote will be given at that time. A variety of payment options are available, and those options may help a new client to manage the treatment payments.
